Mr. Worn is recognized nationally for his expertise in matters related to housing for people with disabilities. In 1999, he developed curricula for teaching the requirements of the Fair Housing Act to HUD FFHEO enforcement officers. For the past four years he has taught the curriculum to HUD staff in St. Louis, Washington D.C., Miami, Newark, San Francisco, Manchester, Minneapolis and Albuquerque. He was selected by Attorney General Jim Ryan to assist in the re-writing of the Illinois Accessibility Code; and was selected by the Illinois Capital Development Board to teach seminars statewide on the new Illinois Accessibility Code. He serves on the MOPD Accessible Housing Task Force in Chicago and is working on the consolidation of the Illinois Accessibility Code and the Federal Fair Housing Act for the Attorney General's Access Committee. He was awarded the AIA Citation of Honor for his work on behalf of people with disabilities.

Steering Committee
Mr. Worn serves on Attorney General Ryan's Disability Rights Advisory Council and Steering Committee. The two groups help formulate disability rights policy for the Office of the Attorney General.

United Way
Mr. Worn serves on the Accessibility Committee for the Chicago United Way. Mr. Worn has created and produced the accessibility checklist used by member agencies to determine compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

U.S. Attorney's Office
Mr. Worn is consultant to the Civil Rights Division of the United States Attorney's Office on matters relating to the Federal Fair Housing Amendments Act.

    AIA Citation of Honor
Mr. Worn was awarded the 1996 AIA Illinois Citation of Honor for his work on behalf of people with disabilities.

New Trier Township
Mr. Worn has been selected to serve on the New Trier Township Committee on Disabilities. The Committee acts as advocate for people with disabilities throughout New Trier Township.

Access Committee
Mr. Worn serves on the Access Committee of the Disabilities Rights Advocacy Division, Office of the Attorney General. The Committee rewrote the Illinois Accessibility Code.


Department of Justice
Mr. Worn is consultant to the Civil Rights Division of the United Sates Department of Justice, Washington DC, on matters relating to the Federal Fair Housing Amendments Act.
